Crest
The Codnor branch used varying personal and period badges. A falcon or peacock device is associated with later Codnor members, but a single hereditary crest for the whole branch is not securely established from the sources reviewed.
Difference / variant
The Codnor family represents a collateral offshoot of the Harringworth Zouches. Its defining armorial feature is the ermine canton, retained from the Harringworth collateral distinction and separate from the undifferenced bezanty arms of the senior Ashby/North Molton line.

Notes / sources

This is a distinct Codnor branch finding rather than a repetition of the Harringworth, Ansty or Woking records. The traditional descent from Harringworth is strong, but the precise early fifteenth-century succession should be checked against primary inquisitions post mortem, Grey inheritance records and contemporary pedigrees.
