Peer's coronet appropriate to a baron; two heron supporters. The achievement could be adapted to female armorial conventions for the suo jure 2nd Baroness.
Difference / variant
Principal baronial design. The Cecil quarters are not the ordinary undifferenced Exeter coat: they carry a mullet for difference, reflecting the younger Cecil line through Lord William Cecil of Exeter.

Notes / sources

This is the core registry record for the subject. The use of the Cecil quarters with a mullet and the Amherst quarters is the defining armorial feature of the barony.
