Biography
English landowner and patron of the arts, son of the wealthy merchant Thomas Kitson. He married Elizabeth Cornwallis in 1560, was associated with the circle of Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk, and was knighted in 1578.

The manor record identifies him as the person in possession of Stoke St Michael in 1588.
