Biography
John Edgar Rust was a Stowmarket landowner recorded as owner of Abbot's Hall or the associated manor by the nineteenth century. He owned Abbot's Hall from 1803 until his death in March 1840 according to the Food Museum and Historic England material.
Notes / Sources
The distinction between ownership of the physical estate and the separate manorial lordship should be retained because the 1803 title evidence is described as relating to Abbot's Hall and its land.
