Adam de Cunteville
Dates: fl. 12th century
Biography
A twelfth-century landholder recorded in a royal fine concerning a knight's fee in Alvoceston or Alfoxton. The same source associates him by marriage with Amelia de Stringston, but that separate Stringston evidence is not treated as proof of a direct Alfoxton conveyance.
Notes / Sources
The evidence supports an interest in Alfoxton, not necessarily an undivided lordship of the entire manor.
