Biography
Daughter and heiress of Benjamin Leigh, Isobel brought the Aldcliffe estate into the Dawson family through her 1742 marriage to Robert Dawson. She continued at Aldcliffe after her husband's death and re-conveyed the estate interests to her son Edward in 1814.
