Sir John Deiville, of Adlingfleet, Deyville or d'Eyville landholder
Dates: died 1325-1326
Biography
Sir John Deiville was a fourteenth-century member of the Deyville family associated with Adlingfleet and other Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire estates. The Complete Peerage records that he died in 1325-1326 and that his son and heir was Sir Robert Deiville of Adlingfleet.
Notes / Sources
The 1301 inquisition uses the form John de Evyle. The identification of that record with the Sir John Deiville who died in 1325-1326 is plausible but not independently proved by the cited inquisition alone.
