Urso de Abitot, Hereditary sheriff of Worcestershire
Dates: died 1108
Biography
A Norman landholder and hereditary sheriff of Worcestershire who held Ingoldmells before exchanging it with Robert de Lacy in a charter dated between 1093 and 1100.
Notes / Sources
Massingberd states that Urso was Robert le Despenser's brother, but that relationship is background rather than direct evidence of the manor transfer.
