William Awbrey, Doctor of Civil Law
Dates: Active in the later sixteenth century; exact birth and death dates not established in the consulted manor evidence.
Biography
William Awbrey was a sixteenth-century Welsh legal scholar and office-holder who is directly recorded in the letters patent as the lessee of Mara Mota. The present evidence supports a leasehold connection with the manor, not necessarily ownership of the manorial lordship.
