Biography
Thomas Chedder was the younger son of Robert Chedder and Joan and inherited the Chedder estates after the death without issue of his brother Richard. His daughters included Isabel, wife of John Newton, and Joan, wife of Richard Stafford.

The Aldwick identification is explicit in the 1437 IPM. The 1443 IPM confirms his heirs but does not list Aldwick in the surviving text.
