Thomas Alcock, Revd, vicar of St Budeaux, vicar of Runcorn
Dates: 1709-1798
Biography
Thomas Alcock was an Anglican clergyman who served for many years as vicar of St Budeaux and was active in local charitable and educational matters. He purchased Agaton Manor from Sir Harry Trelawny in 1784 and was also associated with landholding and cider-making in the St Budeaux area.
Notes / Sources
The manor purchase is supported by The Devon Historian and the contemporary county history; his marriage, local activities and other landholdings do not by themselves establish ownership of Agaton.
