Biography

Only son of John Neville, 3rd Baron Latimer, by Dorothy de Vere. He inherited Snape Castle and the Latimer title in 1543. His marriage to Lucy Somerset produced four daughters and co-heiresses. Because he left no surviving son, the Latimer barony fell into abeyance among their descendants; his daughter Dorothy became the maternal ancestress of the Cecil of Exeter and, through that line, the Cecil of Wimbledon branch.
