Henry Nevill, 6th Baron Bergavenny, participant in the judgment of Mary, Queen of Scots, royalist leader during Wyatt's rebellion.
Dates: between 1527 and 1535–10 February 1587
Biography
Only son of George Nevill, 5th Baron Bergavenny, and Mary Stafford. He married Frances Manners, daughter of Thomas Manners, 1st Earl of Rutland, and had one surviving daughter, Mary Neville. After Henry's death, Mary claimed the barony as heir general and married Sir Thomas Fane; the crown simultaneously recognized the collateral Edward Nevill line as the continuing male heir of the entailed estates and Bergavenny title tradition.
