Edward la Zouche, 11th Baron Zouche of Harringworth, 12th Baron St Maur, Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, diplomat, courtier, royal commissioner.
Dates: 6 June 1556–18 August 1625
Biography
Edward was the only son of George la Zouche, 10th Baron, and Margaret Welby. He became a royal ward under William Cecil and later served as Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. He is notable for voting alone against the condemnation of Mary, Queen of Scots. His death without surviving male issue caused the Harringworth and St Maur baronies to fall into abeyance between his daughters' descendants.
