Canons Ashby Priory, Augustinian priory of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Dates: founded 1147-1151; dissolved 1536

An Augustinian priory in Northamptonshire founded in the mid-12th century. It accumulated lands and dependent properties in the surrounding area, including land and apparently the manor at Adstone, before its dissolution in 1536.
Notes / Sources
The source supports the priory's connection with Adstone; it does not prove that every Domesday holding at Atteneston belonged to the later priory manor.
