Biography
The Benedictine abbey of St Peter at Gloucester held extensive agricultural, riverine and manorial estates in Gloucestershire, including the Abload estate at Sandhurst. After the Dissolution, surviving interests in former abbey estates were administered by the Dean and Chapter of Gloucester.

The institutional holder is used rather than an individual abbot because the sources identify the abbey estate as the relevant lordship.
